I'm trying, trying, trying not to say it. But I can't help it. Plasti-dip looks like bird shit.

I respect your opinion, you're right some paint will be better that's why he should DIY. No reason to spend $70 on new pieces when you already have them.

If done right, plastidip can look pretty good. I decided to pay $55 and get black plastic ones for three reasons

1. My painting skills aren't perfect and I would notice it every time I looked at them.
2. Plastidip won't hold up well to scrubbing when cleaning
3. The bezels I got look factory and will hold up well over time

Another option is to paint your bezels which will hold up well and look good if done right.

The reason I didn't plasti dip is because in 2 years when it fades to gray I don't want to re-do it

Same. IIRC, I paid 53 or 58 for mine. But plastidip is also an option. Looks awesome.

Or you can just buy a spry can at HOME DEPOT for $1.78 / can , flat black
Remove the bezels from the car , sand it down , spray it with a few light coats. And you are done
Here you go

Make sure you have a puller tool, or a way to not damage the old ones if you do plasti-dip. I kind-of damaged my old ones... but I had the new ones. No worries.

I just bought the blank ones on Amazon when I did mine too. Surprised at how easy it was.

Did mine this weekend, gunmetal gray from Canadian Tire. Followed with a clear coat, not very glossy but exactly how I wanted them to come out. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1410290539.335740.jpg

Ha, thats my car. Yeah I painted them flat black, then ended up adding a clearcoat.

They have held up fine. My taillights also have a DIY afterburner, which is why the middle of the tail is darker.
