I bought a new DD to go with my 1LE

2017 Subaru BRZ Limited WR Blue

Fun car on my 90 mile commute on winding country roads and 38 mpg.

Its fun, the lightweight makes it easy to carry speed thru corners. A friend wanted me to bring it to the drag strip, but I declined. I told him the power is like Two Squirrels fighting over a nut, compared to the 1LE is like two lions fighting over a gazelle.

Nice interior Leather and alcantara

PS I am 6'-6" and I have headroom and I can straighten my legs out.

The gold forester my old daily of 16 years

Do BRZ's actually get 38 mpg?

On winding country roads you are probably looking at more like 28 mpg. The EPA highway is 33 which is probably best case scenario. It's a nice looking ride though and probably at least a 10 mpg improvement over your Camaro.

The BRZ & FR-S/86 were very well represented at the last auto-x I attended. Camaro & Mustang; not so much.

Time for a LS swap! Miles per gallon may go down, but smiles per gallon will go WAY up!

Welcome to the 'best of both worlds' club! The FRS/BRZ is the best handling car I've ever driven. First week we got it, I showed a mustang what it could do on the twisties, until I was out of his view.

I just hope you don't have many bumps on that long ride to work, because you'll feel every single one. (Dodge the pot holes)

And there's a forum: http://www.ft86club.com/

Surprised to see there is no 2017 FRS?

Looks like Toyota renamed it the "86"

Whats that all about?

Scion is gone. So it's the Toyota 86 like it is in Japan.

They are great little cars, I almost bought one instead of my Camaro 1LS for a DD, but I couldn't choose it over the Camaro. Still love those little things though.

Great choice. 1LE for performance and a great looking BRZ for a daily. Same set up I would choose if the funds were available lol
