FIFTY Y came off
Hey all - took my 50th on a road trip and when i got out of the car the passenger Y seems to have flown off somewhere on the way to key west.
weather was perfect...no rain or anything and i had it on cruise control at 75 the entire time. Will take it to the dealership tomorrow and make them give me a new car for these shenanigans  However, I feel a little embarrassed for now since the car is sexy as hell, but it looks a little ghetto on the passenger side. get it together gm. use gorilla glue on that shit.

$40 on ebay. $80ish for two at Phastek. I paid $15 last summer for a single but the market price has gone up.

It is a warranty covered issue. If dealershio gives you a hassle ask to speak with the area GM representative that reviews warranty work.

Happened to mine last year. Honestly it was worth the $40 just to get a new emblem off Ebay and not deal with the dealer. My time is worth more than that.

Never had an emblem come over any of my GM cars, must be dumb luck. Seems like a stretch to blame GM this never happens.

Have you had it detailed lately by someone else? The "Y" is notorious for hooking any kind of washing tool, with that pointy bit on the end. Most likely was loose already and the wind helped it escape.

Update - took it to the dealer. totally covered under warranty.
however - emblem is on back order. who knows when it will be fixed....might go the ebay route
