They said it looks real but they wouldn't know until the next day after it processes. Sure enough it was a fraud on stolen bank checks. Good thing I checked it out before continuing the process. I messaged the scammer back and said the bank called me about the check being no good and the FBI was involved now. Scammer went dark.

After that I listed it on E-Bay and said whoever buys it needs to come and get it with cash in hand. Sold it a week later and a guy picked it up in my driveway.

I guess it's all relative, "15 years" doesn't seem that long ago to me.

This was 15 years ago...

While this was over 35 years ago, which I would consider "old".

Rofl, yeah, it makes my bones ache a bit, as well. I'm not SUPER young at 38, but when I remember I've been out of High School longer than I was alive when I graduated High School, it hurts a bit ;-)

You sir, must have worked for the one place that pays First Responders what the job is really worth to retire young after 21 years. Congratulations to you!

If he worked a minimum of 20 years and maybe hit 55, he'd be eligible for a pension.

I'll retire this year at 39....but I won't be retired forever lol. Thanks, military.

FYI, I sold my 2012 AMG C63 to Carvana and had a great experience. It was smooth because most of the documentation work is done online. The 10 minute pickup with a Carvana rep visiting my apartment was easy, perfunctory, and I got a signed check right then. The price was fair.

The big benefit is not dealing with car dealerships - that avenue is a recipe for frustration and unfair dealings.

FYI, In 2021, I sold my MB 2013 E350 Coupe to Carvana and had a great experience. It was smooth because most of the documentation work is done online. The 10 minute pickup with a Carvana rep visiting my garage was easy, perfunctory, and I got a signed check right then. The price sold to them was good for me then.

When I wanted to sell my old Honda Civic, I found that keeping it clean and in good shape helped me get more money. You can sell your Camaro privately on websites like Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace for a better deal.

Another choice is to use car-selling websites like AutoTrader or CarGurus. They have serious buyers; you can list your Camaro reasonably. I recently used autoankauf zumbestpreis to sell my Civic. It was super easy: I filled out a form, got a great offer, set up a pickup, and they paid me right away. It was quick and hassle-free.

I kept my old car as a trade-in and a bargaining chip when I bought my Camaro last year. If you aren't in a rush to get a new car and you like to haggle, you can get dealerships by the balls when you link you trade-in value with your new car purchase. Plus another bonus is the tax savings you get on your new car which can be BIG!
