You can't even throw money at people!

So I recently had this thread yesterday about a bad, wait, make that horrible experience at a muffler shop. So yesterday I made a call to another shop that "specialized" in mufflers. And here's my horrific experience with them. So yesterday I called and asked if they could check out the car today and he said sure it won't be a problem bring it in between 9-2. So I'm thinking ok cool, so we leave this morning at 10 drive 50 miles ONE WAY and get there at 10:52. As soon as we get out of the car... A mechanic stops what he is doing and gets over to us before I can even get out of the car. He says in a very sarcastic tone, "can I help you?!!?!" And I let it go and said yes I called yesterday to get you to check out my car and get an estima- he cuts me off and says: dude, we can't do it today. Period. So I had enough with this guy already and said is there any chance we can wait fiv- no, I'm not going to do it. So I waled away and said I'm done, you obviously don't want my business, so when I'm walking to my car he starts talking trash and cussing at me and my mom who was with me. I told him to walk away. He then came back at me and said this is my lot you get off. Which is funny because he was just a mechanic, not the manager, nor the owner. I said to him I'm taking my buissnes elsewhere, got in the car and drove off. I was ticked, not really because of the muffler but how he treated my mom. That's NOT ok, I will be calling and complaining on Monday. I'm out of options of muffler shops now. Guess I'm not getting a better exhaust for a while...

Trust me I would, I don't have a pipe bender, hydraulic lift, or a welder as of now.

Have you shopped online? You can order everything you need all pre-bent and ready to bolt on. Do you have a V6 or V8?

Sometimes a guy trying to save a buck just ends up behind.

You spent all this money in gas and aggravation, just buy the cat back system already.

I am considering it, but, it doesn't sound as good as what I want done in my opinion, maybe I'm wrong. Is there a different cat back for a v6 that sounds better than what I want done?

Is it actually a good job that they did? I always thought of them as a mcmuffler shop.

If you have solid ramps a few bucks for some tools(pipe cutter, for an axel-back) or are removing the entire cat -back section its a job that you and your mom can easily do in the driveway at home. I''ve removed my catback section at least 5-10 times for a few different mods. maybe a neighbor or a friend has jacks and/or jack stands that you can borrow from them....

I have jack stands its just that when me and my dad installed under glow it took us 12+ hours and it had complications. We just don't want to mess with. Something that is as important as the exhaust if you know what I mean?
