Tire Life

Hey All,

I just ticked over 6K on my SS/RS and am wondering, for those who use their ride as a DD as I do, what kind of life do you get from the tires? i want to plan ahead to be able to pay for these down the road.

I know we can't rotate the tires and am wondering how worth it it would be to purchase two more 9" rims versus expecting tires to go faster or even buying 4 aftemarket rims down the road.

I appreciate the advice!

Jason

Just do what I do, plan on a set of fronts every other time. My rear PZeros lasted almost 25,000 miles. I replaced the rears and the fronts are still fine. I know you can get MUCH more then that if you dont beat them like it do.

I've got 22K on my 2LT and they still have 60% or so left.

I only got 50 miles on my stock ones. That's when I replaced all 4 with a 275/45/20 on black factory replica wheels and all season tires. Yes I can and do rotate them in a standard pattern.

Did you do an epic burnout before you took them off?

There have been posts by people here getting over 50k miles on them with no burnouts, and reasonable driving habits.

I personally burned through mine in about 35k and I had a few burnouts and fast acceleration but seldom speeding habits

The warrenty booklet from Pirelli lists PZeros as 45,000 mile tires. It should be in the packet you got from the dealership along with the maintenance book. I think I'll get around 30,000 out of mine mostly highway and very little burn outs no track time.
