Hey V6ers help me to stop obsessing about upgrading to the SS

I can't stop thinking about getting myself an SS. I love my 2011 LS M6 I've made some cosmetic mods to it and I really enjoy doing all the little things to it that make it feel more and more awesome.Once I get and install the foglights I have ordered I'll have erased all signs of it being a base Camaro. I have already got 2 speeding tickets in it so it's not like it isn't fast. But I just can't get the SS out of head. I keep thinking I could get a used 10 or 11 with everything I want for about what I owe on my LS. If I could get a decent trade in offer. I've got 14,000 on my '11. Plus I love my black Camaro but I'm tired of trying so hard to keep the swirl marks out. I'm thinking a silver SS with rally stripes would be sweet. Or maybe Victory Red with white stripes, oh yea!
So V6ers talk me down please, tell me how impractical I'm being. I store the LS in the winter but I'm not sure how long my winter car will last. I just need to get over this SS obsession.

I have a V6 i'm also thinking of upgrading as well. Just adjust your car and work on it. that's what i'm going to do for the mean time. Gas here has already gone up 20 something cents in the last week.

Just get a SS and be done with it. It is what you really want, and oh the sound!

Once you're in the mindset, you're not gonna stop easily. Go test drive a SS. That should make or break your decision.

Get a used SS for the price u owe on the LS??? WOW how much did you buy it for and did you do like a 500 down payment or what? I see used SS' going for around 27K and thats a decent price.

Increase your speeding ticket total buy the SS. I will warn you if you drive crazy in the V6 its ok, in a V8 your going to have to know your limits.

Buy the SS enjoy it, just be safe and buckle up.

okay so i don't owe that much,around 19K, got it with zero down. It would be a little more to get into an SS, but I don't like th idea of going used after I bought mine new

Good thing Im probably going to buy a dd this weekend so my SS can be a full time fun /show car & I can save on gas!! As far as getting over the itch for a SS, I can honestly tell you it does NOT go away no matter what mods you do. I had a beautiful cgm '11 LT. Spent about 2500 bucks in mods in 7 mths b4 I upgraded to my SS. I had the itch from day 1 but for practical reasons, I bought my LT. I traded in my LT w 6k miles on it for a brand new '11 1SS/RS in Oct. Best damn decision ever!!

Stop now and think hard about this b4 u do anymore mods. Some people are happy w their v6's & they should be. They are an awesome car but some of us are just not happy w it and want that v8 feel. Nothing wrong with that.

Now lets talk cost. My payments went up 36/mth, ins 50/mth but will soon be reduced to the same as the LT when I get my dd, lower interest rate for the same term loan and I only rolled 1k into my new loan. Totally worth it! Go to a dealer and talk numbers. You wont regret it. Good luck.
