stubborn as a ...

Only time my Camaro got 29 mpg was on an extended highway trip with straight gas (no ethanol blend) and cruise set for 67 mph for three hours. I do get 24 mpg on a 40 mile daily commute to work - about 85% highway. Get the Regal!

Those Terrains are pretty sick, I like their interior and I haven't heard of too many problems with them.

I'd go with the Regal. The Lacrosses are nicer though, I wouldn't mind paying extra for one of those.
Mix it up a bit. I wouldn't want to have two of the same car. |

"Mom Settlemire" lives in Western Pennsylvania on a hilly street -- and you simply need to install a good set of Ice and snow tires -- I put Pirelli Scorpions on hers as I recall.......
(....did I mention that she's 87 years young???) Now - that said - if you get a foot of snow and you plow thru it - it will be like driving any other car -- you get enough snow UNDER it - and you're going to have problems. I drove to Detroit Metro Airport this morning in very heavy snow - with Snows all around and had zero problems. (....other than a few other foolish people who think they're invincible in 4wd.......more than two who ended up in ditches and such....) Life's short -- Drive a Camaro and enjoy every minute of it!

My SS does great with General G-Max AS-03 (All Season). My V6 Green machine does great with the standard 19" Pirelli. The factory installed SS/RS Summer only Pirelli tires turn to stone and gets flat spots below 20 degrees. If you are going V6 stay with 18 or 19" rims and you'll do fine.

Good to see my SS will be OK in the snow if I have the correct tires. If I ever live in a northern state, I'd have to get a winter beater car though. I can't see myself using the SS everyday during the winter because the road salt on the undercarriage/chassis would be on my mind all night.

Commits weekly crime
|
My SS with Continental Extreme DWS does fine in the snow. It doesn't do well in ice though, but that's true of overy car. We just had a snowstorm here in Seattle, and there were a couple of days where it was sleeting ice. Didn't drive in that.
I would normally put on chains in some situations as well in a regular car...but won't be doing that with the Camaro.

I've used my stock P-Zeros since I've had the car... no issues in any weather.

OP, don't buy this at all. Never use the stock P-Zeros in snow and ice. Just b/c someone's got lucky doesn't make it the rule of thumb.

I use whatever are stock on the V6 2LT and haven't had any problems. keep your foot out of it around corners and stay under 65 and it's safe. I got it up to 80 in the snow not really paying attention and it started getting a little flighty.
