drag strip

Well today was my first time at the strip with a best time of 12.903 in the 1/4mile

But my question is, is there something to control my launch with an automatic that i can leave the line at like 3 or 4 thousand rpms?

An aftermarket torque converter with a higher stall?

IV been told to put the car in competition mode, then hit the brake and gas simultaneously until your at like 2000rpm, then release brake and slam gas when you see that last yellow light

Better have some good drag radials for that. My V6 will spin launching at 1400 RPM with summer tires.

Drag radials and torque converter are in your future then. Will shave a lot of time off. Just make sure you have a good tuner for it.

A higher stall converter is fairly useless if your spinning off the line.

Autos have lower first and torque converter acts as torque multiplier as well. With the m6 you have to learn how to slip the clutch so you can keep the RPMs up. I'm working on that myself right now.
