Help I am going crazy

This is the 2nd time in a month that mice(rodents) chewed through wires on my 2017 Camaro. I do not know what to do. The last time it cost almost $300.00 ( the dealer gave me a break because I bought 2 new cars from him in a year. They charged me $180). This time I found the piece of wire that was chewed on in my driveway under the car.I do not know what it will cost this time. This is like a mini nightmare. I had the car parked in the driveway last winter an had no problems . I put some mouse poison under my hood so hopefully it will prevent more damage until I get my car in the shop on Monday. What can I do about this problem going forward.

Yup. We have one and we have no mice or bunnies, sometimes birds, he loves catching them and leaving them on our stoop.

Park your car inside a garage and put pine-sol all over the ground or spread pine sawdust all over. Mice don't like the smell of pine.

Barn cats or Decon

My Camaro stays in the Garage and the cats can't get in there, so I put Decon and/or Tomcat traps and poison all over.

No mouse problems

A friend of mine had his car outside, under a cover, and rodents got in there and pissed all over. The car was infected and disgusting and was totaled out, as it needed a whole new interior.

I used to keep my cars in an old horse barn. Kept them full of dryer sheets. If it sits for any length of time spread some moth balls around the exterior

Moth balls...seriously haha, put them in a Tupperware bowl with the top off in the engine bay while she’s resting. Maybe a few small bowls, one low one high or where the main problem lies. They hate the smell and I’ve been putting them in my sheds for years with zero rodent problems.

I didn’t read the post above while writing this but he’s correct.

Shave a bar of Irish Spring soap into smallish pieces. Place it on some aluminum foil around the interior/trunk/engine bay of the car. I've never gotten rodents in my cars during long-term storage using this method.

I use those sonic repellents. One at the front of the car and one at the rear facing the garage door. And moth balls... ;-)

Honda and Toyota are facing lawsuits over "SOY" based wire insulation.
Are 6th Gen Camaro's also equipped with "eco-friendly, soy-based type of insulation coating"?

"Automakers including Toyota, Honda and Subaru have turned to an eco-friendly, soy-based type of insulation coating in their vehicles that has attracted the attention and tastes of rodents such as rats, mice and squirrels. The rodents have been chewing the apparently delicious insulation and exposing the bare wires, resulting in expensive repairs for the vehicle’s owners."
