Every time I give a ride to someome in my Z the first thing {before I turn it loose} is how good it rides. They always say it rides smooth and they thought it would ride rough.I would agree with others that you need to check and see if the dealer removed the spacers in the front springs. If they are not in there you need to set your ride to tour mode. Please let us know if you checked all this out. I believe you will be happy with the ride if everything is like it is supposed to be.

I agree with all of the above comments. The Tour mode is noticeably smoother compared to Sport mode. It's taut; but not super stiff at all. I've also had a few friends comment how nice it rides.

I've recently changed tires to the Michelin Pilot Super Sports and the ride is much smoother. It may be worth a shot if you can't enjoy the car in its current configuration.

Also, make sure the suspension position sensors haven't been damaged. If the rod going to these sensors are bent/broken, the shock will not function properly. There is one sensor on each control arm.

If you are in PTM5 then the car will not give much. Try PTM 4 or lower.

17,000 miles of daily driving in 15 months, nothing has fallen off. It's all solid. I drive over railroad tracks at least twice a day. Taken it to the drag strip, launched about 100 times. Don't know what to tell you.

Something must be wrong with yours is all I can say. I just drove mine on an 8hr one way to the Texas Mile in Tour mode and it is smoother than my King Ranch pickup! I'm not saddle sore when I get out of it at all. Have urs checked out.

Take a 35 MPH posted curve at about 70 MPH and tell me the suspension isn't absolutely amazing. And on the road, my car drives as good as my wife's caddy.
It is one thing for me to tell you that it rides better than my friends GT, but even better when I tell you that after riding in my car, my friend prefers the ZL1. I agree, sounds like either those spring spacers are still in place, or something is wrong. I'd say, maybe you are comparing it to a Benz, but if that was the case, it certainly wasn't an SL nor an AMG model, as those cars with some low profiles on them let you feel the road a bit. |

Yeah, in addition, I've driven mine on several road trips, I can go a good three hours, or about a tank of gas, and be as comfortable as anything. I rode in/drove my buddy's 2012 Altima the other week. Three hours of that, I was ready to get out. My hindquarters were quite sore.

The suspension on the ZL1 is why I bought it over a GT500. They ride like a log truck.
