Sounds much much better than another sound clip I had heard of a 6th gen SS.

Camaro and Mustang are now in the category of "sports cars," where Corvette has basically always been since it began production decades ago.

Performance + simplicity = muscle.
Performance + luxury = sports.

If the car was designed to chase HP figures, it's muscle.
If the car was designed to chase lap times, it's sports.
Personally I think the Camaro nails it from every standpoint. Still definitely has that American muscle, but the 6th gen is more refined, more sports car like, with luxury, badassness, awesome V8 sound, muscular but refined looks to it. Dodge builds some really nice muscle cars, but for me they are just too big, too heavy, and too retro. I am glad the Camaro got away from the whole retro interior from the 5th gen, Ford needs to get with the times and modernize the Mustang interior, got old a long time ago. Nothing wrong with keeping cars from the 60's modern and in the times.

Except the Camaro has never been a muscle car. It's a pony car. Sorry, but that is just one of those things that has always annoyed me more than it should.

I'm really impressed with the sound. Never thought they would use tri y's on a Camaro and not on a Vette. The stripes look great as well. The hood scoop thingies are growing on me. Still keeping my eye on a used 1LT/RS for a daily driver a few years down the road. I like the new styling and don't consider it a downgrade from the fifth gen at all, it's just not enough of a difference from my 1LE to force me to make the jump right now.

HOLY RASP. You guys like that GT350?? Maybe it's the camera microphone.

My SS with the muffs cut off sounds better than that! Looks nice from the front though. The wing looks stupid with the headlights angling back. Still can't get over the stangs ass.
New Camaro for me (eventually).

I agree with Sledge. Mustang sounds European. Not American.

Ford went global and made a global look and global sound ... some might like it, doesn't look or sound american anymore though.

And I'm european so ..

BTW, that is NOT I repeat NOT the first one made for retail sale. They just started production of the CTF cars and others for testing. Retail production will start much later.

It does however have an awesome sound.

So true, HDRDTD. We are seeing some more CTFs roaming the streets of Warren and surrounding areas now. I expect at Labor Day they will be called home and some of the last production adjustments will be made. October 5 (the tentative start of regular production) is looking more feasible now.
