You'll also notice, when compared to my signature pic below, how dark the BRM can really get depending on ambient light. I also feel that the entire tone of my car got darker once I Plasti-Dipped the rims, changed the grille & added the stripes. . .

Sometimes I feel my car is schizofrantic (because it can't make up it's mind what color it is today) but I love every variation. BRM is an awesome color to say the least!
Well, if it's a '14 - it is not BVM as that color is only available in the 2015 model year. It is really hard to capture these colors in pics as the slightest change in lighting and shadows make a difference on how each looks.

Lol! Thanks! I think it looks sinister too and wouldn't trade it for any other color!

I love both.. I have BRM. check out my garage pics. My car looks black under certain lights at night, looks, purplish in the sunlight, and smokey at dusk. I love it!

I see a little more grey in the BRM and it does look darker (at least in the pics) compared to the BVM.

Here's my BVM, same spot, same time of day, just from two different angles. Hope this helps a little.

Its difficult to tell between the two colors just by pics, but I maintain that BVM is a tad brighter due to having slightly less metallic flake than BRM (its just my opinion though). On the other hand, in some pics the two colors look exact to each other. One thing I've noticed, is that BRM has two types of basic shade: Sandy Metallic and stark and dark clear blue.

Here are a couple of pics of the shades I was referring to:

First two are "sandy metallic". and the last couple are stark and dark. Its tough being blue!

What would be really cool is to see side by side an Imperial Blue Metallic, Blue Ray Metallic and Blue Velvet Metallic.
