What happens if your window is frozen?

When the door opens the window goes down a bit automatically. What happens if there is a lot of ice and it's completely frozen shut?

It sucks. I had that happen one time. It sucks even more when your battery goes dead. That's why my car is parked in the garage with the window partly down if it's an extended stay.

Does the door not open if the window is completely up with a dead battery?

In my experience, the best way to handle this is to pour some room temperature water over the window. I have owned three cars with self-indexing windows; one was a 5th gen.

No, because there is no power to drop it down first. It happen to me one time in my 05gt Mustang. The book told you to just pull real hard if it happened. I did and it opened. But, it felt like the window was going to break or pull the molding off the car. Im not sure what the Camaro protocol is for this. It hasn't happend to me yet in my Camaro.

Yeah, just make sure not too hot. You don't want a window cracking on you. Room temp should be good. Good post
