Im sure you can find one but you'd need to pull the bolt to find out what the thread size and TPI it is then you can go looking for one. Make sure its of the same grade, 10.9

quick google I found https://drilledheadbolts.com/t/metric-bolts

Its not really known, the axle stubs might be the same so it would use the same bolts and torque spec which makes sense , also have to realize the 4pot and V6 make less torque so may not be an issue for them at this time.

is it possible that GM knows about this issue and already did some changes?

in your first picture (with the parts on the ground) it shows that there is no washer between the bolt and the retainer.

I will show you some pictures of mine (ZL1 A10 built APR 2017) where you can see lock washer and bolt showing almost 1/2-1/3in the other side....

I didn't check the size of the bolt (if it's 57.5 instead of 50.0) and the torque (45 or 37+45°) to make sure if it's the new setting but it appears to be good (Blue paint, lock washer, showing bolt the other side..)

I posted this on your other one too:

"Pretty sure mine looks like this too (Nov '16 build date/'17 model year). But remember we have the eLSD, so it's possible they have different bolts? I have checked mine, and my bolts all look good, and the blue lines line up."

Just a thought...

Sorry to bring this up from the dead, but need to order some bolts.

I have an ss diff, with axles to install. Would rather do it once and do it right.

Do i need 11601876 as referenced on page 3? (See added pic)

Or do i need the 6 retainers referrenced in post 44 by PushLifeSSlim

What im trying to find is the part number of the full piece of bolts, lock washers, and retaining clip. The axles didnt come with the hardware.

Just want to be sure because the part numbers posted in 44 are 115xxxxxx which seems like it would be an older part number compared to the one tha starts with 116...

Appreciate any help or insight on it

bolts

What size and pitch are the bolts? I have a 2018 built in 7/18, has short bolts. Talked to dealer and said they can't change until I have a problem. I know the length.

So at this point, is it safe to say we should look into longer bolts from say ARP?

I just bought the newer bolts supposedly, which are supposed to be longer, and mine look the same as the pic.

I did some measurements here:

I have a 2018 SS built in 7/18. The bolts have the serrated lock washers and are about two threads short of going through the flange. The bolts are approx 57. MM long UHL which should be the longer bolts. There must be 3 different bolts. That is plenty of threads to hold the axle flange on. The bolts are all tight. I put penatrating loctite in the open end of the bolt holes and then I installed a 3/8 x16 x 1/4" allen lock screw and locked it against the end of the bolt so it cannot back out.Box of 50 lock screws from Fastnal was $10.00 and $6.00 for loctite. I will still check them but I don't think they will ever back off. You can see the end of the bolts in the third pic. Name: WP_001339.jpg

2016 here and the bolts on the passenger side backed out, broke and the shaft failed. The car grind to a haul and wouldn't move. Thank God I wasn't on the highway. I got lucky and it happened in a good out of the way spot. Used my roadside to get a flatbed wrecker to come pick it up. Took it to my dealership and they replaced the shaft with no issue. I love my car, but I've had more issues with this car then any other I've ever had. I'm worried about the other side now.
