ZLE and Autocross
Any thoughts on how the ZLE performs in autocross? Is the suspension too tight? I look forward to any insight.

I know someone who autocrosses his regularly however, he's not on this site to my knowledge. He is on Instagram though. DM me if you have Instagram and would like his name.

I bought mine with the intent for autocross use only, it gets trailered to and from the events. I had autocrossed the 5th Gen. Camaro platform for the past 5 years and am now in this. The car works amazingly well on autocross courses and feels extremely good with track camber put into it, I did put the rear sway bar on the softest setting to try to help some of the oversteer. Don't worry the car is going to its 1st road course next month so i'm not completely wasting it.

ZLE plenty of grunt to move it along and occasional exhaust snarl from traction control fighting your foot request for more speed!
Stock tires take quite a bit of heat to work well, but can be managed. Don't go hero mode and turn off all the nannies, 4000lbs will slide for looooong time.

I plan on pulling the 305/30/19 RE71R's off my '15 ZL1. If the stock tires that are on the ZLE are anything like the Eagles that the '15 came with I would rather not go through that. I am planning on running the 305's all the way around on the ZLE. So no one is concerned about the suspension being too firm? I have heard that which is why I am asking. I am in Idaho so about as far from NY as I could be, but I appreciate the invite!

I mostly autocross mine. I do believe the suspension is a little too stiff for autocross turns (tight compared to a road course). There is a gentleman that autocrosses his SS 1LE here in San Diego. He told me that he runs his suspension (MRC) in Sport mode because Track mode is too stiff and doesn't allow enough roll for the tighter turns. He does very well when he runs.

Tim have you tried to run yours in Sport to see if it loosens up the suspension some? Also is your ZLE black? Were you at Fontana last Spring for the Pro Solo?

Last Spring I started running with the nannies off. It was/is a learning curve, but I don't get the hesitation that I got with them on. Sounds like the ZLE is the same way. |

Mine is white and I have only autocrossed in San Diego, though a lot of people are saying to do some events at ACS. |

I run in Track/Race and it pulls a lot of power out of the turns. I should run with everything off, but I'm not that good of a driver. I think I will start the next event with everything off and bite the going sideways and killing tires bullet until I learn how to drive.
