this is going to trigger some folks, but so be it.
kinda strange that C&D puts their manual SS at 12.3 which puts it #4 on the fast list, while managing to come up with 118mph... a full 2mph faster than the best mph of 116 on the fast list and 5 mph faster than the Edmunds car. They only managed 115 from the mustang which has shown to at least mph as strong as the SS, the data so far shows the GT traps higher. this is why watch what the cars do in the real world and draw my conclusions |

They also got the best results for the Auto if I remember, but the ET is hardly out of line. Remember, C&D is correcting their numbers too, which the fast lists are not. Also why would the Mustang manual numbers be surprising to anyone? It gained some power yes, but it has equal gearing to the SS M6 and is significantly heavier. Without a gearing advantage to make up for it's heft and lack of low end TQ, it was not going to close the ground that much.

hotlap...out of curiosity can you post the slip from the pass in your signature?
disregard I found it... C&D managed 2mph more in 300' worse d/a. Ford really should have sent that ringer over to C&D |
