10.98 is the best I've seen so far. I don't see it being much quicker. Even on the drag radial, it's still going to be tricky trying to get the launch down on this car. 17CamaroZL1 found that magic key on his 10.94 stock pass, it may be easier finding a unicorn or the tooth fairy than anyone finding that key again. lol. I'm gonna try come spring but I definitely have my doubts. For now, I'm happy with the 11.08.

Well my best time bone stock was only an 11.58 @ 124 something, can't remember the exact MPH off the top of my head. I couldn't get it to hook with a best of a 1.92 60' and the DA was 3700+ FT so there is no way I'm going to get anywhere near 10s with mine. I would bet with a tire that would drop down to an 11.1-11.2 in a best case scenario out here with our weather.

Crush pipe mod didn't show to pick up anything from the dyno comparos I've seen and 109 isn't high DA at all for me.

109 DA is very low to me. Guess it's high if you compare it to my 10 second night. Lol! I wouldn't doubt there being no gain from the crushed pipes since the factory muffler is still in place. If anyone looks closely at it, you can see the pipe size shrinks right where it enters the muffler and a cut away that's been posted on this site several times appears to show it shrinking down a bit more after it gets inside the muffler. So I'd say for the crushed pipe mod to show benifits, you'd have to remove the stock muffler too. The first time I looked under my car, I was impressed at how good all of the exhaust looked from the factory......until I got to the rear. Then it was like they were restricting it on purpose. The weird thing is, a lot of guys will change out the entire exhaust except the factory muffler. Is it less of a restriction than it looks or do they care more about the nice looking factory tips and being able to quiet the car down more than gaining more power?
That's an awesome run for a car that might as well be considered stock still. I'm quite certain it would've ran a 10 with less fuel and quite possibly been faster than mine. Great job!

What I will say for sure is Dodge tuned the Hellcat extremely hot from the factory. I know a lot about tuning as well, and was shocked when I saw they they had done. For comparison: My Max IAT at the end of my 10.51 @131 run was 129° and ECT was 208°. I need to drop a 180° tstat in the car to lower that ECT. However, neither of these seemed to affect the timing in the car....Dodge stock tuning is commanding 17-18°!!! That's substantial for a car tuned for 91 octane as I'm sure you'll agree. I guess they went balls out and just let the knock sensors keep things in check. My max boost was 11.8psi. Now, I hot lapped the car on one of the runs just to see how much difference it made: Hot lap pass Max IAT was only 140°! However ECT was nearly 220°. Again, that tstat needs to be changed to a 180° to bring that down, but it shows the cooling system for the supercharger is VERY effective. The only thing I see in the tune that needs adjusting is COT. Midway through 4th gear on every pass the car goes in to COT and the logs show the AFR change from a very crisp 12.0 to an abysmal 10.0. If I sorted that out I'd likely pick up a tenth. One thing worth mentioning is that I've had only one issue with my Hellcat since purchase. I was impacted by the supercharger bearing issue where Dodge got a bad batch of SCs and the bearings become noisy. My entire SC was replaced under warranty with an updated part number that has updated bearings in it. That "might" have freed up a few HP over other cars running the old unit, but have no idea. I did post my car made 670RWHP on the dyno the weekend after I ran the 10.51. |

Sorry, don't recall, but is your car stock? Reason i ask, at 670, that's less than 6% drive train loss or the engines are more hp than advertised by Dodge.

Yes, all stock except for an upgraded drive shaft. Hellcats are under rated from the factory for sure. They are more like 750HP.

Thanks, that makes more sense. Are others seeing similar dyno results?

It's a familiar number, it's most likely Nick (guitarmageddon). That's exactly what he ran on dr's.
