Tasteful or Tacky?

Sup peoples?

I love the look of the front of the ZL1. That lower grill is badass looking. Do you all think it is tastefull to put that front on a non-ZL? or do you find it to be akin to putting an SS badge on LT?

I know, I know.. "It's your car do what you like". And ultimately, I will. I was just interested in the community perception of such goings-on. =)

As you can tell I have no problem putting the ZL1 front bumper, rear spoiler, wheels, and ZL1 style insert on my car. As I ahve always said it's your car do what you want as long as you enjoy it.

Oh you will get flamed, but that has been going on forever. Nothing wrong with it, they even came up with the term "tribute".

I think that will make your car more your own , and as long you don't slap a ZL / anything else other than your car model , it's fine , just don't get carried away making your car look like someone else car.
In another words do not do what the guy down the stre did to his , that's a no , no .

No problem at all. If you where to put a ZL1 emblem on it, that's a different story. But the ZL1 fascia looks great, so why not add it! It's just another mod, and to me it's no different than adding any other type of aftermarket fascia

Most people who don't own a Camaro would not be able to tell.
They all look alike

Thx guys.. It really does look sexy. Flames or no flames, it's killer looking. =)

I would never badge something that wasn't true that's just silly, but hey to each their own, Just wanted to see if you all felt that this was the same type of thing.. It was a good point brought up, "It's just like any other aftermarket mod. I think I fall into that line of thinking as well..

Keep up the good work guys, your cars look awesome.

Why not? Think it looks great. Some people will even put ZL1 badges on as a clone but i don't think it's right but really could care less what other people do. There is another thread where someone is all upset that other people copy or clone their ZL1. They want GM to make it hard for people to buy and put ZL1 parts on a non ZL1 Camaro. Pretty funny reading thru that thread.

Ok guys, I was ok with this until I saw that black V6 with all the ZL1 stuff on it. I was thinking it was an SS with some "upgrades" on it. But now I am thinking....Hmmm, a V6 with ZL1 stuff???? Its like going on a first date with a potato in your pants. Your not really giving an honest account of things.........
