I thought I remember some of the ZL1 parts having "Z28" stamped on them...

...if you could reference the specific link from the article source you mentioned that would be helpful, there was another post made last year about a rear suspension bracket/piece used on the ZL1 that had a similar Z28 marking, and I read somewhere else there is a rocker panel piece previously mentioned with a stamp similar....
