I thought I remember some of the ZL1 parts having "Z28" stamped on them...

That is what I was just thinking. There were photo of some other part floating around with Z-28 markings a year or so ago.

...if you could reference the specific link from the article source you mentioned that would be helpful, there was another post made last year about a rear suspension bracket/piece used on the ZL1 that had a similar Z28 marking, and I read somewhere else there is a rocker panel piece previously mentioned with a stamp similar....
