My comprehensive has a $100 deductible and zero $ on window glass. It costs next to nothing extra over a $500 deductible. Do your own research; don't always listen to the agent's suggestions; ask them for multiple quotes for different levels of coverage and see for yourself. I also have to carry a million in liability because I drive for work in my own vehicle (work rules) which also didn't make a big difference.

Anyway, see the above post regarding the cost of the replacement condenser? Even if you add the receiver/dryer, you're still under $250 in parts. With labor and Freon, maybe another $200 additional. Check around. Also, the system is completely discharged at this point, so there's no danger in removing the parts yourself and replacing them. Use new O-rings, lubed with compressor oil. Then get it evacuated and recharged.

Just my opinions.

Man this is something that annoys me. People saying dealers screw them, or talking crap about dealers. Of course they are gonna say no to covering your condensor under warranty if it was damaged by an outside source.

It wasn't a rock - it was a mustang. I run over those all the time - pesky little cars - they're like gnats.

How is this comprehensive? The rock was thrown really hard at the car while it was parked? If the car was in motion on a public road and hits a road hazard (rock), most insurance will classify that as collision!!

Same as hail damage right? Doesn't matter if you are driving the car or it's parked. It's a comprehensive claim.

And it shouldn't effect your insurance rates unless you've had x (typically 3) amount of claims.
