2015 ATS coupe Motor Trend review

This thing weighed in at 3,463 pounds in premium trim and a 6 speed manual.. Very promising if in fact Camaro is based off of it. So excited. Wheeeeeeeeeee

YUP. Thats why I have 100% expectation for UNDER 3650lbs. Ironically, about to start ATS shopping for the wife!lol

The 4 cylinder camaro (if it exists) will probably weigh somewhere is this neigborhood..

Probably b/c the 7spd manual is made only for the LT1 currently. Would be surprised if even the V6 6th Gen gets a 7spd manual. Most likely will keep the 6spd and the SS will get a 7spd.

I believe that the trans tunnel isn't wide enough on the ATS.

I have a hard time spending $40k on a 4-banger, even if it is turbo-charged.

lol. I didn't think twice about the price. That's the going rate for an entry level luxury sport sedan, and the coupes are even pricier due to being produced in smaller numbers. Fully loaded midsized non luxury cars cost nearly $40k anymore.

I just spent $50k on a 4-banger ATS AWD Coupe and I couldnt be happier. Its not nearly as fast as my SS but it has enough HP for what I was looking for, 0-60 in 5.7 seconds is pretty solid for a 4-banger.

To each their own I guess.

The obvious weight increase for the v6/v8 engine, should put us in the wheelhouse of actual weight.. I'm a little more pumped about just how fast the 6 gen can be!#

2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe 2.0T Manual

272 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque
0-60 MPH 5.5 sec
QUARTER MILE 14.1 sec @ 98.9 mph

2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost 2.3

310 horsepower 320 lb-ft. of torque
0-60 MPH 5.6 sec
QUARTER MILE 14.1 sec @ 97.8 mph

The lowest trim Caddy 4-banger weighs in at 3411 lbs while the loaded V6 is 3530. The base V6 for the current Camaro is listed at 3719 lbs.

Ford's about to get smacked around. Of course the current 1LE already did that to the 2015 GT on the track so...

Good comparison. That tells me if the 2.0T is the base engine for the Camaro, we are looking at some good numbers for the V6 and SS. Man the V6 Mustang crowd is going to be hating life especially.
