Would you like to see the LT engine in some tier of the gen6 Camaro?

So far, the new LT engine (I believe the LT1 in the Corvette and LT4 in the CTS V) has been used in all of GM's new cars and with the stiff competition from Ford and Dodge, I was wondering if you guys would like to see the engine in the Camaro or if they should stick to the LS engines.

...port injection would seem like a step backward, from a pure technology and efficiency/emissions standpoint. I'm a little iffy on DI with regards to how it responds to mods and fuel in the oil, but I expect both issues will improve over time. I really don't see why you started the thread, all new GM V8s 2014+ in new models are DI.

LS series of engines are on their way out and will not be going into any new cars. Once the last Zeta and Sigma cars stop production, so do the LS.

Not just an LT1 but a hotter version of the LT1.

Sorry, I didn't know that. Not to be rude, but can I ask for your source?

It's pretty obvious. What other motor are they going to drop in it? The LS series of engine is dead. They carried over the Z06's LT4 to the new CTS-V..

history. Look at the corvette. 99% of the time what went into the vette usually goes into the camaro, but ever so slightly detuned. and....

I would like to tell you more, but I like my job to much..

Obviously, OP wasn't privy to your classified information. It was an innocuous question, no more! Either answer respectfully or stay out of it!

What the hell is that suppose to mean?

It might be instructive if both you consider the number of posts OP has (20). He's a newbie! Give the guy a break, and leave the disrespect where it rightfully belongs: in the garbage..........

A) Not classified information, LT series has been in production for over a year now.

B) He might work for GM. Therefore not allowed to say anything further.

Yes, rebirth of the LT1, and a very interesting engine as well. Nevertheless, no need to disrespect OP with such a curt response. There's just too much of that on this forum............
