Depends on context...in automotive performance context...Boost-A-Pump (device for increasing fuel pressure in FI applications)

Thx Ebbs. It was in regards to a Fuel Pump. They were saying that they had the ZL1 Pump and someone was asking if they had a BAP. Do you know if BAP are necessary? As in with a better fuel pump for say adding a S/C?

Lots of variables are involved to determine whether or not it's "necessary". The goal Horsepower level and capabilities of the pre-existing fuel setup will be the biggest factors in making that determination.

Boost-a-pump simply helps to amplify the existing fuel system's capabilities in order to support higher levels of horsepower. However eventually, even with the BAP, the existing fuel setup will reach maximum levels and will require a complete upgrade (New pumps, new rails, larger injectors, etc).

If you mean BAP Auto Parts it stands for British Auto Parts, and now it is for any import vehicle and they have a huge inventory of American cars and trucks.

Are you telling me the list has actually gotten smaller since I left?
