How the hell does that get through final QC?

I think that you have to ask if they are actually doing QC checks on every car. Had anyone looked at his car, with the problems it has had, it should not have been released.

I noticed that most of the people in the assembly line looked pretty pissed that they were working when I watched the "How its Made Dream Cars Camaro" episode. I wonder how seriously they take their jobs.

about as serious as your average McD's worker minimum waging it. a job is just a job, and when its thru a union, they get that "you cant fire me, im with the union" attitude and sense of entitlement.

QC needs to do better. I'm starting to rethink my order... if I find a bunch of issues with mine when it arrives, I might just end up not getting it and wait another year, which I don't want to do...

No kidding. We actually had an argument in the other thread about the show, with a lot of people sticking up for the people on the assembly line who looked disinterested and poorly dressed. GM needs to install a uniform policy for all of their assembly line workers like most other auto manufacturers have. At minimum it would present a better first impression when they are shown to America and the world building the car you want to buy.

I really can't believe the members on this forum - 6th gen Camaro customers! - actually stuck up for that.

I think they are just doing the camaro assembly job until something better comes along. Probably not going to happen. Also they are not in the UAW for the first 90 days if memory serves me.
Uniforms would be nice would show pride in there work.

Sledgehammer, Camaro withdrawal is the worst! Given all the problems you've had...wouldn't the Lemon Law apply here? California has a fairly strict Lemon Law don't they?
As for the loaner... Not too shabby. Could have been a Cruze or Spark. Just sayin'.

Wow, that is awesome. Called a local Chevy dealer to bring my car for service for the seat that won't recline, i asked about a loaner and they told me to contact the dealer where i got it to see about a loaner car because they don't do that. Well i did call my dealer after that and was told they don't do loaners at all. Is this something up to the dealer? Sounds like the same crap Nissan also pulled with me few years ago. Couldn't imagine not having a car to drive for 2 weeks after just getting it.

The malibu I got was technically a rental but the service dept. Charges the cost to GM.

This is totally bogus. Find a better dealership or contact GM directly.
