Uh...a COPO 9561 features the L72 iron-blocked/headed 427, not the all-alloy ZL1 (COPO 9560). One of roughly 800-1000, not one of 69...

"1 of 16 documented"? Documented as what?

But a very cool car, nonetheless!

As stated... Many more COPO 427s were produced than 69... it's the ZL1 that only had 69. Again tho, sweet car!

When I lived in CT, I knew a guy with two COPO camaros. I wonder if this is one of his. I met the guy by chance after I wreaked my 69 vert. This guy was building basically a brand new 69 COPO. Not a clone, but he had the original COPO unibody and everything else was OEM NOS. All the date codes on parts had to be correct as well. I was amazed at all the NOS parts he had. The part that blew my mind the most was hood insulation molded for clearance of the radiator hose for a 427. That part had to be super rare! One other interesting fact about this guy was he collected the firewall plates off rare camaros. He could fan out over a dozen 69 Z28 and SS ident plates of cars no longer alive.

Which I'm sure will find their way onto 6 cylinder cars and become z/28s after restoration. LOL
