Check Engine Light - '19 ZLE

Hey Guys,

I just hit 6,500 miles - was on my way to dealer to get brakes swapped

1. Check engine light came on
2. I heard rattle noise from bottom middle of the car (my first thought: did anything come loose) then realized it could be in limp mode which cause such noise. I dont know.....

here's the dealer quick scan.. anyone with experience to guide me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Guys

Question

Car seems to be totaled. Let me buy it off your hands for a solid 5k. JK.

Did you check gas level gauge before or after the check engine light came on? Maybe just a failed sensor they can fix quickly under warranty. Did you get gas right before this happened? I’m sure you will be back to normal soon. Is your car stock?

update:
dealer just called - technician couldnt go into the car more due to lack of time but....

said its most likely a level sensor in the fuel system somewhere. said that the car is fine to drive. but to keep in mind that the light will be on and to come back and fix....

and that if something were to happen - the car wouldnt be able to tell you because the light would already be on.

not sure what to make of this but they're busy so i gotta come back and have them dive in more and see what it is. my tire pressure monitor system doesnt work either that could be a reason for it NOT communicating with the car.

i also have 2 wire harnesses that are slightly chewed... not cut all the way maybe they happened to get more damaged from heat, etc...

idk..

Have no fear. These cars are bullet proof. That’s for sure.

slightly chewed? that's a huge issue - rodents?

did you buy this new or used? The airbag codes would be concerning to me.

bought new. Yes on the Rodents. took care of the issue but need to replace 2 harnesses - 1 for the windshield washer fluid and 1 for the left front blinker.

The car has race seats, CAI and TB. no tune or anything else

Take this for what it’s worth since I’m not an expert, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night...what is happening with the seat harnesses now that you have race seats in the car? I see a lot of seat airbag codes. I know others on this forum have installed race seats and some have experienced issues with CCM codes being thrown as a result. I’m too lazy to research that myself but might be something you want to look into.

Throttle body is not stock and can cause a couple other of those codes. If you have the old one I'd definitely swap that back out.

i have had the race seats, CAI, TB in the car at 1500 miles. never had an issue. all who did - reported occurrence shortly after installation of TB. besides non of these codes are related to that.. or are they? im not an expert either

i have 6 point harnesses installed, the airbag lights were there from day 1 with the race seats - i expected that. i think i'll start with replacing those 2 harnesses and seeing what hapens.

dealer saying its a fuel level sensor in the pump but they need to get in there to "verify" either way i'll start with those 3 items and go from there. im confident its noting major because the engine was taken care of really well.
