anywhere from 3.99 to 4.89 in a 50 mile radius of Chicago. Always highest priced in the city proper. 93 pricing.

If you look at the general increase in all prices, there has been a 10x increase. Sooooo....gas prices today are about the same now as in ' 68, as a percentage of income (my wichita falls experience no counted) Civilian income has gone up about 10x in that same period. that said, when a President interferes with fuel supply, they get higher than they would be. A presidential obsession with the Volt causes havoc

Well January 09 gas average was $1.83. Today $3.85 84% change. January 09 corn was 3.56 now 6.33. Real median household income -0.7%. Number unemployed since 09 up 24.7%. Take ethanol out of gas. Over 70% of food products on the shelf have corn. Food has gone up over 50% due to ethanol. Not saying anything bad about Washington just stating the facts. This is a scary number. Number of people on long term unemployed since 09 up 146.2 %. If you like high gas and food prices thank the EPA. They have great friends in high places right now. National dept, in trillions since 09 up 32.2%.

Sounds like that plan sure has failed like the medicare plan. I doubt people would be that desperate to by a Volt. They'll have to be forced to buy a gun.

Where in the US was gas $1.83 a gallon in 09? I dont remember gas being that cheap since 2004-2005.

I paid $3.93 a gallon for 93 octain at a Shell station in Wichita Falls on Saturday.

The prices we pay at the pump is due to supply an demand, not healthcare, etc. Everybody and everything suffers due to the rising prices. Is there a fix? I dont know, but it will get worse before it gets better.

I honestly could not tell you. I pay as much attention to gas prices about as much as I do for a gallon of milk... It really doesn't matter we need them both.

$3.65 for 93 octane yesterday. Not too bad, actually think it's lowest in country.

Hurricane Issac caused Gulf oil drilling shut down. Expect gas prices to go up as a result.

They are also tapping into oil reserves though, so should offset each other. SHOULD....
