If any of you don't like what's being discussed in this thread... go elsewhere... This is a thread about the GT 500... in the proper forum spot...

Who said LT1's cant run?!! Those things are tq monsters!! And those time are right on par with h/c ls1 f bodies. Bad ass!
I bet your right then on the TM thing. I mean I know its heavy but if they are running mid 12`s thats sad. I ran consistent 12.2`s w/ just headers, CAI and a tune, stock tires no weight reduction in my SS.

Haha! LT1`s are really hard to make run quick though w/ the 23 degree heads. It takes a really good patient porter to do a set of LT1 heads, you can`t just hog em out like LS1`s(somewhat of an exaggeration here) or they lose velocity real bad. My LT1 was slow stock 14.2@98mph bone stock.

I`m really impressed w/ that Charger of yours though, now that is a HEAVY car! We have a guy named Mike in this area who has DTP working on his car and now that biotch runs its ass off! Blue Charger runs 9.x I forget what exactly but i think its low 9`s.

For those in the know: how would the track pack effect performance? Is it needed to get the times currently being released? And for the average driver, is the track pack a necessity?

Oh yea!! Hes well known in our community. Runs stock displacement,F1, and a hit of nitrous. Car has been a best of 9.0@15X mph @ 4400lbs. Its beastly for sure!!

Im currently the cam only record holder for the Hemi's. I know with a couple more bolt ons and some weight reduction I could get her to low low 11's maybe even a 10.9999999. lol

The track pack does NOTHING for performance at the dragstrip.

I understand it also changes tires, gearing, and suspension. Wouldn't all this effect performance?
