this video was excellent. It explained more than just replacing the thrust washer. I kept thinking the IRS was a complicated system but it looks user friendly...

Mine is a low VIN LS3 and I had noticed the clicking in the drivers side about 2 months ago. Found this thread last weekend, got the washers ordered on Tuesday, picked 'em up yesterday and just finished the job about an hour ago.
No more click. Nice. Thanks for the vid, I'm sure I would have sheared off the speed sensor too! |

The sensor was a 19 dollar 10 minute replace but still much easier to just not shear it off. hahahaha Not too bad at all. An axle could be done at the track if needs be. Of course the day would still be over. you'd have to realign after doing the axle. |
