I dont' remember who I talked to with the 159 but everything I'm finding now says 199. I should have just stayed with that.

Yup. That's what I'm finding. Next time I have the wheels off I'll bump them.

Me too.

Sorry for the miss-info. :(

Fortunately it's just a 15 minute job. But I"m not sure why the hell I didn't go with the safe bet.

this video was excellent. It explained more than just replacing the thrust washer. I kept thinking the IRS was a complicated system but it looks user friendly...

Mine is a low VIN LS3 and I had noticed the clicking in the drivers side about 2 months ago. Found this thread last weekend, got the washers ordered on Tuesday, picked 'em up yesterday and just finished the job about an hour ago.
No more click. Nice.
Thanks for the vid, I'm sure I would have sheared off the speed sensor too!

Good deal. Glad it could help.

The sensor was a 19 dollar 10 minute replace but still much easier to just not shear it off. hahahaha

Not too bad at all. An axle could be done at the track if needs be. Of course the day would still be over. you'd have to realign after doing the axle.
