1st world problems. Corvette is a massed produced car, just fact.
Also typical GM, they will be discounted by 10% to 15% off MSRP after the newness wearable off. Be patience guys

I'm wondering about headroom.... That's the deal breaker. I fit in the 2SS Camaro but not with a lot to spare.

Right, because a car starting at 60k is cross shopped with a car starting out at 26k. Perhaps once you get into the higher end Camaro trims and comparing against a base Vette, but those don't make up majority of the sales.

It might be possible, but when they discussed the engineering of the car, it sounds extremely unlikely. There's really no room for a shifter near the center of the cabin. I believe they said there's a massive structural support running right down the middle of the car where a transmission tunnel would normally go.
