It's a car. I can understand being careful, but it's just a car.

you let your wife ride in your car?
My son and I are usually the only ones who ride in it. My rules for him is no peeing (he is 3). So far it has only happened once :( I had the booster seat mat down under it. Luckily the booster seat absorbed the liquid.

Man you guys are beating up the OP! Lol I don't believe he's being combative, they're just preferences. The major one my GF always bitches about is the long walks in from the parking lots. I never park next to other cars if I can help it. A door ding ins't worth it to me, would rather walk. People don't respect your property that often IMO.

Man! Some of you guys are a little crazy about these "rules" you guys put in place. I really only had 1. And it was no eating in the car. I've let it slide a few times here and there and the car still looks good. Just don't be a slob.

I wouldn't say I have rules per se. But my wife knows how anal I am about my car, she knows not to mess it up. One of my biggest pet peeves in the car is people putting their feet up on the dash. Once when I was in high school a gave a kid a ride home, he was the valedictorian. He put the feet up on the dash, and I told him he was taking the shoelace express if he didn't take them down.
I try to take care of my car as much as possible, my wife knows not to mess with it. |

Being completely serious?
Sure I don't allow people to eat in my car or throw their feet up on my dash, that's preventive measures. But it's a car, I'm young (22) and I view it as such, it would never replace my loved ones in anything. This isn't the first car I've bought or the last car I plan to own. Yeah, I paid for it, yeah I make the payments, yeah I don't want anything to happen to it. But a scratch can be repainted. A dent can be pulled out. A stain can be removed. A wreck can be repaired. If it's bad enough, insurance will roll me out a new one (full replace coverage). Worst case scenario I ride it out and in a few years trade it in for something better. You can't "trade in" for a new relationship. I'd look at it the same way if I had a Veyron, if you can afford one of those, there's a good chance you can afford another. |

id also reccomend you scotch guard the seats and saran wrap the outside with bubble wrap
also attach a gazeebo to the roof to prevent water stains, and hire a driver to tow your car wherever you wanna go so you're not putting any miles on it |

I think the op is missing out on the second best part of owning a Camaro is the experience's you have with it. Take her to the drive in,make out in the back seat that's the good stuff. In short lighten up ;o)

i think she should be happy you didnt tell her to get in the backseat and when you want some advice, you'll give it to her.
/joking.. she knows where you sleep. do so at your own risk.
