Good point. I’ll try not to take the cheese next time. Back on topic…

2023 is not the last model year. Probably 2025 from what I’m seeing.

That’s the first time I’ve seen 2025 mentioned as the final year for the 6th Gen.

It’s not a definite. Nothing is definite until GM says it is and they ain’t talking. This is just me connecting some dots. I have the advantage of seeing what’s in my company’s powertrain forecast, especially which engines and transmissions are being shipped to which plants. Up until two years ago I was doing powertrain forecasting and my coverage included GM and a number of other automakers, so I am not foreign to the detail that goes into the forecast.

Ten years of a gen 6 platform? Not impossible i guess, the second gen camaro was eleven years.

that's an interesting correlation. EPA regulations of the 70s ~ vs ~ EV initiatives of the 2020s

Could it be possible that a 7th gen ICE Camaro is still actually in the works? Maybe in the very very early stages of design & engineering & therefore no leaks or spy shots? Maybe they're playing it safe & waiting to see how this all plays out with Dodge going all electric? With Ford staying with ICE for the next gen Mustang, how can GM let them have all that market share? When were the 1st spy shots posted online for the next gen Mustang? April of '22? And then officially revealed in September? Seems like there's still plenty of time for GM to do something. With there being nothing officially announced, I think it's still possible. Or maybe I'm just being overly optimistic

I think you're being overly optimistic. GM has had a bellyful of the Kool-Aid and I don't think there's going to be a change of heart.

Unless there is a management change and an attitude change I've purchased my last GM vehicle. That's a shame because I have really enjoyed my Camaro, and a ZL1 would have been my preference for my next car.

Up next, a Telluride for my wife this summer, something slow and safe for my younger daughter, but nothing from GM or Stellantis, maybe a GT500 for me next year and maybe an F150 and probably my final new car purchase something cool for my youngest son.

Those will probably last longer than I will so I'll enjoy them and not worry about what the woke crowd is pushing.

That's interesting. First time I've seen 2025 mentioned too. Hope that is the case.

Looks like a good plan to me. Wife and I want to get a truck next looking at Ram since both our families have had really good luck with them even my 12 Ram that I towed with was great had it before I sold it a few years ago. As far as Camaro is concerned I can agree with Martin's prediction of 2025. Will be sad to see it go but I do have mine already so I will make it last.

The context was whether or not there will be a MY 2025; the Gen 6 Camaro was announced and manufacturing began in 2015 for MY 2016, which would make it both 10 model and 10 calendar years in total.
