Well, I got the car back and it looks good.

Track day news. Our photographer just got a new camera and he's getting up to speed on that so we should have some great photos of the event.

Anyone else put down there deposit and not update the list yet?

Thanks. I just hope it doesn't rain. Also, note since we didn't have 8 people with a deposit it will be full freight and if someone else shows up we will end up having to school them. ..I hope. ..lol

Sorry guys, but I'm out. Daughter in college, another one starting next year, and dealing with cleanup of parent finances after passing of my dad in June are sucking the life out of me AND my wallet..... Really kills me to miss this event, but there's nothing left in the till now and it ain't getting any better for quite some time ..... Bummer...

Man! Sorry to hear about all that. Hope things get better for you soon. Thanks for giving us the heads up. Take care of what you've got to. The track will be there for another day.

Good luck

I've sent Beth an email double-checking all the details as well as asking about spectator seating and such. Don't know if anyone was planning on dragging someone with them and I'd like to make sure there's space for them be.

Anybody else trying to recruit for this thing? The more the better...up to a certain point...lol

Okay. Hot off the email presses....

Beth just got back in town and emailed me a response to my earlier questions about price, spectators, rain and so on. Here's what she had to say:

(From Beth at the track)

Hello Karl,

Sorry for the delay, I just got back into town last night.
The class is now on the schedule and open to anyone.
Yes, you are correct that it is now full price since you could not get a full group. If you can get 4 more by the end of this week I have no problem giving you the group rate, they'll still have to call to register as I can't put the discount on the web registration. I'll be at the track all week except tomorrow.
The class will run rain or shine, and spectators are welcome. There are some chairs under the tent on pit lane, and people can view from several different spots.

(From Me)

Okay people, we have our challenge! We need four more people, or, forty more dollars each. Personally I'm not too worried about getting the four more. Doesn't mean I'm not going to try. Any ideas on getting more people?

I'm looking forward to seeing a yellow 1LE. Should make for some great photos while we're out there.

Glad to hear you're coming out.

I am interested in taking the other courses at that track also sometime in the future. I found that track website when I first ordered my camaro back in April. So, I knew I would be going. It is pretty cool to do it with some other camaro owners.

Would any of you guys, and girls, like to meet for breakfast before the track opens somewhere near the track? If there's any interest I'll start looking for somewhere to meet. I'm dropping my mother off at the airport early that morning so I'll be eating out down that way no matter what.

Let me know.
