After having the LLT intake on my car, and comparing some things... Come to find out, the bolt pattern on the LFX manifold is exactly the same as the LLT manifold...

So all the Adaptolator is now is basically an LLT intake isolator with LFX ports on the top and LLT ports on the bottom... The minimum required height to install the LFX manifold on the LLT car without having clearance issues is yet to be determined, but I'd say if you have a 1" isolator, you can hand port the top holes out to match the LFX intake and run the thing.

I will be making a new one piece Adaptolator this week before heading to the dyno to try the LLT intake on my LFX engine.
Cool! Though I hate the looks of the LFX manifold, if the gains are good, I might just have to try it.

Yep...it only it didn't look like crap lol. But it surely has to perform a bit better than the stock LLT intake.

Wonder what the weight difference is?

+1 on the weight question - it just has to be lighter...

As far as the ugliness goes - if I were to do this mod, I might have to resort to putting on the silly engine cover - IF I can find it...

I compared the LLT manifold vs the LFX upper intake. Iirc the LFX upper portion was about 14-16 lbs lighter. I'll have to double check.

That's some big weight savings right there. There is a thread floating around in the V6 section containing various weight savings when going from stock to some other part....just feeling a bit lazy to look right now lol.

Went and weighed the LFX upper and lower portion this time, and the LLT intake again.

LFX upper and lower: 7.5
LLT intake w/ plenum cover: 18.75
Adaptolator (phenolic material): 1.5

Finally a painted LFX IM! Not bad looking.

Did the dyno thing today... It went ok as far as swapping parts and making runs, but the 2LS not wanting to stay in one gear is really making it hard to pick the info apart and show anything useful... I'm going to have to dig deep to see what's what. Dyno didn't show anything useful running locked in 1st with a load. Ended up having to let it shift 1-2-3 in each run, and because of this, and however this particular dyno reads, it says max power is around 16,000 rpms... The rpms are right until it shifts into 2nd...

It's going to take me a while to pick these run files I got apart. IF I can even get anything useful out of them...

This goes for all 3 threads I've got going. (this one, the adaptolator, and the extendolator)

I'm pretty sure all of this testing, on this car, on this dyno, is worthless :(

If you're just looking for peak hp numbers, IF what I have here is even believable, then:

LLT manifold on LFX engine: 248.2hp and 166.0tq
LFX manifold on LFX engine: 263.4hp and 169.4tq

I know the TQ is not even close because of the gear reduction, etc running through 1st, and 2nd gear up until the speed limiter in 3rd, but the HP number does kind of make sense since I picked up just shy of .2 in the 1/4 mile from swapping from the LLT manifold back to the LFX manifold the same day.

I'm still trying to decipher any useful info from the testing this weekend if there is even anything that is useful...

Wow. 15 hp difference. Is that the ported LFX manifold?
