That's false. The Camaro Z28 had 275 hp when the 4th gen debuted in 1993 and just kept going up from there.
That's a good catch. This makes me wonder if the memo just hadn't been through the fact check team, or just made up. This could explain the 440hp too. We will know tomorrow hopefully.

Didn't they say only the SS badge and something else small?

I just think it could have been fixed properly (that's what the engineers/designers get paid for).
I think they are missing out on sales because of this.
The only way to keep the same general design of car & increase rear visibility would be to either raise the drivers seat several inches(along with the roof line) or hack the trunk several inches lower(loosing the "hips" in the quarter panels). Which would you have chosen? I could do neither of those options.

Wow, I guess they took my comment about studying the 2015 Audi TT's dash to heart Hopefully the vent ring controls were executed as nicely as Audi's version. I thought it was pretty brilliant idea to clear the clutter of controls and looked pretty sweet in the process.

I call BS on this one. Since day one, rear window visibility was a complain. They could've changed it. They got real lazy on this exterior.

There are some nice features. I'm definitely excited to see the interior and actual pics of the car.

I was surprised by that too! That means the new camaro's length would be a minimum of 188.6" which is 5" longer than an ATS coupe.

I was hoping it would be as small as the ATS coupe.

Alpha isn't necessarily a "smaller" platform, but it has the ability to scale smaller than the Sigma/Zeta platform did. Allows it to scale down to ATS size and up to CTS size. It brings with it some modest weight savings but size for size not a huge difference between Zeta and Alpha. Other benefits though to incrementally improve on Sigma and Zeta driving dynamics as well as global cost savings (Sigma was apparently expensive to make).

It "should" have android and apple car play since both systems operate in a layer on top of the OEM operating system. With tap of an icon you can switch back to the OEM system at any time even while playing music through android or apple. Ive had carplay now for about 5 months and have grown very fond of it. When your phone is connected via bluetooth or not plugged in you operate completely through the OEM system.

Since its there when you want it and invisible when you dont, I hope GM included android and apple in the newest my link package the Camaro will get.
