That's exactly what they're trying to do. They've had a huge success with the new Stingray which I think makes the C6 look like an old bag of bones. I'm sure I'll want a new Camaro when they come out but I really don't need 2 Camaros. I'm really interested to see the performance and fuel economy numbers for the next gen V6. I hope that more factory performance options are available for it. A sixth gen V6 1LE would make a great car. I went with all the fancy whistles on my 1LE but I would go bare bones for a car like that and it would make a great daily driver.

Im happy to hear the styling is going to be evolutionary. I do however hope 1, the size and weight are closer to the ATS side of things, I fear though its going to swing the other way to the CTS side of things. Number 2, I hope the interior is revolutionary. No more retro interior pleeeeease.

GM will probably follow Ford's attempt to acquire global marketing by incorporating European styling cues. Additionally, I'm guessing it'll have an import design thrown in as well(already does..) to cater to this crowd.

...yeah, like as in light years later after the fact...this is old news, just sayin'...for example with PQ's retort...if he remembered what he read, if he reads the posts and remembered anything at all... he would understand it's nothing news worthy.

exactly. cut out the retro. most people out there don't even know what the dash of the first gen looks like ( or the taillights apparently)
I figured all along it would be an evolution. I'm predicting it looks 60-70% like the 5thgen. |

So maintain the styling and lighten the chassis? I think that's what the people want. IMO it would be a huge mistake to stray far from the current design. Look what a simple taillight change did around here. |

I have no doubt that the Gen6 will be a head turner and different enough that every Gen5 owner will aspire to trade up. The intriguing thing will be the initial model lineup. I don't see a ZL1 appearing. You have to believe the SS will continue in the same role. So do they bring out Z/28 as a track car from the get go. We''ll get a clue by how the Mustang lineup rolls out.
Also would it be worth changing the body style to accomodate a T-Top configuration vesus a convertible. Depends if we don't see a back side glass and do see a wrap-around back glass. This probably would make for better visibility.

I do have one important request for the Gen6 models. Please offer all-season tires as an option on the SS and RS. It's been a long winter for everyone and many of us need to drive these cars everyday.

Looking forward to seeing this. Hopefully I'll finally be able to get one by then ,around fall, 2016. I hope the convertible comes out at the same time as the coupe, or soon after. Without the top problems. The less weight and better visibility sound good. Here's hoping.
