ECC Meet Thomasville Aug 16

thanks Pat, Tammy & Thomas County Sheriff for a wonderful meet and cruise. So good to see everyone and have fun in Thomasville.

I hope that Milton's son in law enjoyed that cruise at speeds over 90++ miles per hour (hey, no speeding tickets)!

Just made it home.....THANK you Pat & Tammy for the great meet & greet. It was a BLAST as always!!!

And an extra special thank you to Jeff K and Michelle, (and of course my hubby Jeff) for coming to the rescue when my car tried to leave me stranded by the roadside in godforsaken Greensboro. Yes...you heard right. The old girl's transmission is ka-put!!! But Jeff took Jeff to Panama City to get our car hauler while sweet Michelle stayed with me in Greensboro until he got back. It was a looooonnngggg day, but everyone is home safe, and now I guess I'll be getting that new transmission I've had on my list......

When was this ? We came thru Greensboro about 445 on our way towards Bristol and didn't see you girl. We sure would have hooked a tow rope to ya

We were probably right behind you. You probably passed us when we pulled over in Tally to check things and reset the computer hoping it was just a glitch, but it became evident that bigger problems were looming and once we got to Greensboro and came to a stop....it would no longer move forward. Clutch pack is shot (I believe this is what is wrong). If I kept turning the car off and waiting a few minutes, then cranking it back up it would go a little bit, so we limped to a parking lot of one of my dad's old friends place and waited for the trailer to arrive.

The trip home was intresting. It was a sad site to see Regina's car limping down the road.

We will leave there and travel over to Granddady's BBQ for Lunch around 12:00. It is a local place so if you do not mind post in this thread if you think you will make it so she has a rough idea of how many to tell them to reserve space for.

I have gotten an OK from TCSO to escort the cruise. We will leave out from Granddadys between 1:30 and 2:00 and it will last about an hour.

Be safe on the drive over and see you all on the 16th!!!!

But yeah, I'm working on it. I want to try and do it nice so I have to do a little editing or, as they say in the biz, "post-production". Coming soon!

While I'm on the subject, anybody have a clean digital copy of the ECC logo I could maybe use for a title card in the video? If so, can you email it to me at fsusmithc2@hotmail.com? If I were any good at 3D modeling, and had the software, I'd like to see an animated 3D version I could bounce in or superimpose or what not but I don't have the software for all of that business.

I'm just using the GoPro Studio software and it's fairly basic so it won't let me do any overlays or watermarks, transitions, or anything neat like that but it should still be better than just sending the raw footage to YouTube.

Video is nearly complete. I have gained a lot more respect for how time consuming video editing can be. Anyway, should have it finished up after work tomorrow (meaning Thursday, today, whatever, it's late).
