None of the luxury features of a BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, Lincoln, or Cadillac (sorry GM) are of any interest to me. I can afford such a vehicle but I can't get over the cost. That's where a Chevy has value for me.

I am an engineer (insert lack of social skills comment here), and so the tech stuff is attractive. For me technology is something that makes life better or easier. Safer is better. So, stuff like On-Star, wifi, sat nav, anything safety related, like airbags, traffic warnings, traction control, and so on are of interest to me. Give me a fun car to drive and help me and others survive a mishap.

I could care less about leather seats, gnarled wood paneling (or fake gnarled wood paneling), chrome, or knick-knacks.

I accept the weight because I enjoy the other stuff. My 1LE handles great and still is enjoyable to take my kids for a fun drive. That's good enough for me.
