The thing so many people overlook is that the team that Brady/Belicheck took over was only about 5 years removed from the SB....they were no longer sharing the division with the Colts, and there really wasn't a dominant team in that division besides the Pats.
Brady isn't a system QB, but he's played MOST of his early career with a lights out defense and an average offense. Ironically enough, the last 8 years of his career have mirrored Peyton Manning almost to a tee.... 3 SB appearances....two losses in SB games they were favored in, and lots of records. Truth is, you could put Manning on the Patriots in the early 2000's and he'd have had 3 SB rings......Brady with the Colts....would he have even won a SB at all??? That's the question I always come back to. Brady's an elite level QB in today's game, but I think he would never have had the success he has now somewhere else. I also do not think that he would be as successful with a team like the Broncos as Peyton was.

So in a nutshell...
Brady refused to cooperate. Brady signed footballs and jerseys for the guy who referred to himself as "The Deflator." The two guys who were deflating football keep talking about how Tom is riding them over this stuff. But, it's merely PROBABLE that Brady was involved. Of course. We have 'no proof.' Brady's name is being dragged through the mud.

also, I think the biggest issue/advantage the pats had for deflating balls, is the extremely low fumble rate since the new rule of having your own balls in 2007. This is something that needs to be talked about and shown in the media.

Commits weekly crime
|
Don't forget about "Jim McNulty", a misspelled version of McNally...in a previous incident was involved in swapping out practice balls instead of game balls during a game. Simple mistake then, of course....unless maybe now there's a pattern of behavior shown later on to doctor/replace game balls.
It is probably a totally innocent mistake, however with Brady laughing everything off and basically thumbing his nose at the NFL execs in this latest incident instead of just coming out and admitting fault....it wouldn't surprise me if they give him a 4 game or higher suspension in the next couple of days.

the 4 game suspension will include preseason games, knowing Goodell.

Based on the Chargers only getting a $20,000 fine for using special "sticky towels" to get better grip on the ball. I cant imagine, in the name of fairness and equality, the Pats and/or Brady getting much....
Im only half kidding there... God Goodell is such a joke

Seen a few sites as of just yesterday talking potential of a full year suspension....due to his failure to cooperate with the investigation. If this was a real criminal deal....he'd be toast already...
