Yep 66lbs less. Liking that. Throw a drag pack on it and it’s a nice cruiser

Now that's thinking and nothing but good news for us. They're going to sell a lot of them.

Wouldn't it be the 2nd time since the one above was at the Detroit GP?

Cool! Is that what you are ordering? No rally green?

Pretty true to an LT but with the V8 dropped in.
I'm in love and I'm very glad I purchased my LT in March otherwise I'd be financing a bit over my budget...

I'd want a 1LT A10 with nothing else. Like others said, throw on the drag pack and it will be a force at the strip. Then with headers and a tune, I bet it runs deep 11s.

Check out eBay for take-off wheels and put 275/305 rears on it. NPP - if offered - would help make more of a sleeper. I usually keep mine in Track mode 'cause I want to be loud & obnoxious. But, when I'm in the mood I set it to synch with driving mode. When I'm next to a Mustang or Mopar at a light, I put it into Snow/Ice mode and give it 2 or 3 T4/V6 sounding revs. Then 1 click up on mode to Track, 2 clicks on traction control for Competitive mode, and we're ready to rumble!

My SS has blue hood vents and blue "SS" logos, but it would be easier in de-badged LT1...

I'm just curious who they are polling for these statements of overwhelming good feedback on their prototypes. Is it the same people they get for their real people commercials, because that would explain ALOT.
Not lately, but over the years, I have participated in 4 automotive focus groups. One was mostly about ordering/shopping for cars online - this was 20 years ago, long before cars.com, Autotrader, Carvana, etc - then showing new features/cars. The most recent one was all about luxury coupes (I bought a G37s coupe after a G35s coupe) and was about features, equipment, and cars without badges to rate, including prototypes.

In each group, some were just not car people, so I guess you have a point.

Happened to me THREE times

1) Ordered 1982 Z/28 with 4M, waited 5 months, finally found out 4M trannys were on back-order, so I opted for 3AT to get it before Summer was over - meanwhile my trade was falling apart. In '83 they came out with 5M & 4AT.
2) Bought a 1990 Eclipse GSX with 5M - only trans available with turbos. There was a BAD synchro cone between 1st & 2nd. You had to shift very slow or very fast - anything in between gave a nasty crunch. I was afraid of hurting it, so I traded up to 1991 GSX 4AT
3) Traded in my 2003 G35S 5AT on a 2008 G37S 5AT. In 2009 they switched to 7AT.

In each case, I would have waited a year, had I known what was coming...
