I was shocked to read that they got the 2.0T Camaro through the 1/4mile in 13.9 seconds, you can make a strong case in buying the 2.0T Camaro over a Scion FRS for example.

The FRS/BRZ/86 were never intended to light it up on the drag strip. The fact that the base Camaro is faster in a straight line means very little to the intended market. Just like the fact that the FRS/BRZ/86 is more tossable & nimble than the Camaro means very little to folks that intend on buying the Camaro.
