Love the new 6th gen. I think it like looks great.

Definitely not trading my 1le. I feel my car to be more special than a standard 6th gen SS.

I love the 6 gen's freshened up interior. That's really all that appeals to me. As for the rev match ...meh, I'd rather rev match on my own. The LT1 is nice and 200# weight diff is a plus, but not enough power difference to make me upset. The exterior looks are just OK. My 2013 AGM 1LE is rare and will hold its value more than a 2016 2SS. I only have 9,800 miles on her and will be paid off in 2 more years. Financially it would not make sense for me anyway. My car is old...not obselete! I am over the whole keeping up with the joneses fad lol (which has bee happening since the 60's). Edit: If money was not an issue I would not be on Camaro5...

I love my 15. I won't trade it in for a base model. If they bring out a 1LE for the 6th gen, I will consider buying one.

I guess I'm really the only on here that likes the front end but doesn't really care for that rear end. It looks mustang-ish to me. I also like the refreshed interior. Will I trade my 14 for a 16? meh, I'd have to drive it first but I don't really think I could get rid of my baby even though she's blemished now

9 years ago I was in a position where I needed to upgrade my photography kit and I purchased a Nikon D200. 200K+ pictures and 9 years later, it's still my only DSLR and my primary camera. I'm not the kind of person that replaces something if it works well.

My 2014 1LE works exceptionally well. I will own it until it dies or until I give it to one of my kids.

The only reason I upgraded to a SS 1LE
well
1. Its a 1LE
2. See reason #1
3. If reason #2 doesn't convinces you then we are not friends.
4. If we are still talking please look at reason #1

And as for a 6th Gen
I am going to say the same thing I told the dealer.
This car looks like a newer Hyundai Genesis coupe so I am not fond of it at all.
The fact that it lost it muscle car look made me lose my appeal to it. Which is why I got the 2015. I really wanted to get the 50th Anniversary Edition SS.

We have a genesis touring coupe with the v6,... my wife loves it. 345 hp in that little thing. Quite the car to drive . Off topic. Sorry lol.

I understand your point but do yourself a favor and try a new Nikon DSLR they have gone leaps and bounds above the D200. it was great camera but its time has passed. Hell even a simple D7100 would be a huge improvement. Dynamic range, low light ability, etc.

Back on the subject of the OP, being someone who is planning on purchasing a 1LE in the spring, I'd be lying if I said I hadn't considered the new 6. Styling wise, I like it. I think its one of those cars that probably looks better in person. It has a lot of subtle curves. and some not so subtle. The fact that it supposed to be faster than the current 1LE is encouraging. The chassis that its on is awesome! It seems like a refined fifth gen Camaro.

That being said, i will still get a !LE. I really like it. The costs should be coming down by spring and I don't like the idea of a model year change purchase.

I am very curious to see what is introduced at the Detroit Auto Show in January. I'm guessing the ZL1. They will need to do something soon to keep peoples interest with the cost of the GT350 and a well equipped 2SS being so close.

I still have a very tough time believing that the new car is quicker around "tight" road courses than a 1LE. I know it has more power and less weight but I think if it were quicker around a road course, it would not be by much. 200lbs is not much difference, unless it's a drag race...

Would be really interested in a 6th gen that corners as well as a 1LE and goes faster than a CTS-V.

And if it has a lower price point...
