....TPW's can move - based on production schedules.
TPW's become more stable @ 3300 and above.

At 3000 and above ..orders can not be cancelled.
Whether you continue with order is between you & your dealer.

Still shows 4B00-bayed

You may want to have your dealer call the GM Dealer Business Center
and see if the car is available to ship or on QC hold. They can see the
difference where we only see a 4B00 bayed regardless.

Good morning Becky,

It's me again. VHSZGR. Been bayed now for over 4 weeks. Dealer finally got word from the DBC that it was shipped on Monday. However it still showed 4B00. Dealer called me this morning and said that the status code is now 5000 but they indicated the the car has not shown up yet. I want to verify for sure that the code actually has moved from 4B00 to 5000. And if so, can you see when it went to a 4200 (shipped) code?

5000 status!!!

That's a BIG step! It may not have arrived at the dealership yet, but if the status was updated to that it should be there any time! Make sure someone is out there watching for it!!!

OK more info on this as of a few minutes ago. Dealer and DBC are arguing out the issue. DBC says that the Dealer received the car on 10/22. Dealer adamantly refutes that. Dealer escalates issue with DBC and requests supervisor. DBC then states that it has shipped but just hasn't arrived yet. (DBC told dealer earlier in week that it would arrive Thursday). Dealer presses DBC for them to call the carrier and find out exactly where it is at. DBC responds with "Can I be honest with you..." and then proceeds to tell the dealer that the car has not shipped and is sitting in Charlotte, MI. I wonder how it could be at a 5000 event code and sitting unshipped in Charlotte, MI. Is this somewhat common?

Not sure why GM keeps the dealers uninformed to misinformed. I feel bad for the dealers if this is common practice. They're the ones that have to interface with the customer.

Regardless of all that, I just wanted to say thank you for graciously and consistently responding to my order status requests. You provide a great service and 'am very appreciative. THANK YOU

You're very welcome for the updates. My goal is to help keep customers informed as best I can. The funny part about your story is that I had exactly the same thing happen to me. So funny because the DBC kept telling me that the car was at the dealership (it was being drop shipped to another dealer) and the customer was tracking the car with Onstar. We knew without question that the car wasn't at our dealership, and the receiving dealer knew that that car wasn't there. So one DBC rep tells me that it's there, another calls the carrier and tells me the carrier knows nothing about the car then another rep with another story! It's no wonder we look bad! You might want to ask your dealer to register the Onstar, that would help. And they should also contact their area sales manager and have them check to see where the car is. The Area Sales Managers have different routes through distribution to see where a car is at.

I'm so sorry, I'm sure you had your hopes up, I know I did! Keep us posted on the progress and I'm happy to check again anytime.
