1980 Toyota pickup... age 10, in a neighborhood in the suburbs of St. Louis with my Grandpa who was WHACKED OUT on prescription drugs and apparantly thought it was a good idea. We survived. I mastered clutch/throttle with my Honda XR80 and once I had that down, any car was a piece o' cake.

Bought a 82 trans am and had no clue how to drive a stick. I had to have my brother drive it home. He taught me in about an hour before i was ok to drive by myself.

My dad's parts truck, a 78 Ford F-250 with a 460. Great to learn on, couldn't stall it if you tried.

74 Camaro LT, originally had an automatic but was converted to a manual with an M-22 Rock Crusher w/3.73:1 gears. Man that was a fun car to drive once you got the hang of it. Had it until our first child was born 10 years later.

A 1967 Ford mustang straight 6 engine. Only three gears! . U was 16 years old in 10th grade. Good times! What a great first car!
