Car Meets, not a Daily Driver, did you say maybe a vert or was that someone else?

I can't imagine anything being quite as cool as the looks you'd get pulling onto the grass in a pasture at a car meet in a convertible '15 zl1... And then hammering out gears 1 - 3 on the way out to head for ice cream.
I didn't mention a vert but did say I'd love to have a targa top with the GS.

It basically comes down to..... new (1le) vs big power (ZL1) vs targa top and best looks imo (GS)

In the end I think it's just going to be the one that's most fun to drive.

You are on a Camaro forum, of course most people here are going to vote one version or the other of the Camaro. Jump over to the Corvette forum, post the same poll and see what happens. I could be wrong, but I would guess many of those answering your poll here have never driven a Corvette, more specifically a GS let alone owned one; just as I'm sure the same would hold true in reverse on Corvette forum.

Beyond all of that, there isn't a bad choice on your list. You should go test drive the various vehicles you've listed and buy the one you like the most ... Our opinions & reasons for choosing one over the are based on our experiences, preferences, biases, etc. Good luck in your decision

Well I finally got to test drive 1 of my 3 choices. Got to test drive a new 1LE at my local dealer. I found it better than my car in almost every way.

Interior is way better except I didn't find the seat all that comfortable and also found it a little akward getting in and out of.

The exhaust sounds 100 times better once the valves open up.

The handling was where the biggest wow factor for me came from. That thing handled way better than I expected. Very impressive for sure.

The clutch I found very touchy taking off in first. I am coming from an auto and it's been over 10 years since I last owned a manual so might have just been a case of needing to get used to it.

We did do a little number crunching just to see where I stood and how much I could actually get it for and it was a little higher than what I want to spend. They offered 20k for mine and still wanted another 20k plus tax, tag, title and like 2k in other fees.

In closing as good as it was I didn't feel like it was worth more than double what my car is worth.

I've been leaning heavily towards the Vette and even more now after having eliminated the 1LE...

I don't want to spend that much. I could get a 06-09 Z06 for $10k less.

I actually have begun looking at the C7 as a possibility but still seems to be a bit out of my reach in price. Lowest I'm seeing around me is 37ish and that's with over 40k miles and even that's pretty rare right now. I might be able to find them a bit cheaper towards the end of the year if I haven't found a C6 GS yet.

Wait for the 2019 Camaro if you like that style or wait for the C8 Corvette but 40k is a lot i would shop around and see what other dealers have to offer.

Decision

Get some nice wheels and new tires. It will make your camaro seem like new.
