If it's your everyday car it's no different than anyother tool. Do you worry about your saws and drills?
Hot Rods for me are toys. I always took damn good care of my toys. They were hard to come by in my house growing up.
Speak for yourself.. I still have my computer and Xbox One in the wrapper..... Though, I guess that would explain the constant over heating and burning plastic smell.

I park and walk. There is no method that is fully safe. However, walking is good for me and it does reduce some of the odds.

Yep, I'm with them. I put some distance between me and the other cars and enjoy the walk. I also employ the other simple techniques as well such as using an end spot or the widest spot I can find. Its a small sacrifice for me and I'm sure I'll live and the world will still rotate if I get a ding.

They don't make them like they used to, that's for sure. I've seen so many old tech systems like that just run and run and run... Though, I guess to be fair, it's much less complicated and sensitive than today's system.

I don't have a 2600 anymore, but I used to play the crap our of some Silent Service on my buddy's C64.

It's like everything else these days, more about content than quality.

Sorry for derail. Back to the OP's nervous breakdown over parking his car.

I do try to park further away than 'normal' people are willing to walk.

If I know I'm going to someplace that's crowded I bring my 2008 Hyundai Sonata. I don't like it to be dinged either, but it would hurt less . . .
