I like the new Mustang because it's forcing GM to freshen up the design and features on the Camaro.
We benefit from competition between GM, Ford, Chrysler... great cars making great power....

Yea the Mustang has gone with the Ford family styling
Where if it didn't have a Mustang badge you wouldn't know it was a Mustang. At least the Camaro looks unique compared to everything else GM makes, and they haven't had the audacity to stick it with some crappy family styling. |

My Son has one
Yes my son has a 2015 Mustang GT with all the goodies and the track package.
Here is as honest a review that I can muster. In person it looks nice, best Mustang ever by far. More flowing lines and just has more attention to detail inside and out. if you study the car up close, forgetting about your styling tastes there is a lot of well integrated aero stuff on the car and it all fits together well styling wise. Even the back diffuser looks more expensive and well though out than other mustangs. Interior is also several notches above the old Mustang It drives very well, tight, quiet and you feel good in the seat(I am 5foot 11 and weigh 250.) Controls looks good for a $41000 car. Personally people say the Mustang interiors are better than the Camaro. I like the styling and layout of my 2SS interior, but on close scrutiny this New mustang is probably a tad better, material wise. Certainly more amenities in the ABL and suspension setting department. Also has heated and cooled seats. I don't believe that even with the track pack or performance pack it handles as good or responds as quick as my 1LE. Handling wise the 1LE is more fun. Now from a muscle car point of view its not as fun sounding as a Camaro with the dual mode exhaust, but I think Ford is figuring this will have more mass market appeal. Probably also figuring all gearheads like us will change exhaust etc anyway. Speed wise its new so probably has to reach some magic mileage before the Ford ECU allows full power, but it basically feels as it should. Between my car and this probably a drivers race. Overall it feels more sophisticated than it used too. Definetly more quality. Both side by side I still like my Camaro way better, but that's my taste. They will sell plenty of the ecoboost ones and GTs with out the performance pack, based on looks alone and finish. At least till the 2016 Camaro comes out. Jim

cannot get past the rear styling('bold' is an understatement). Could probably live w/ the front design though.

The engine is amazing for a 302. That's what a better head design and ohc will get you. However, I like the simplicity and compactness of the ls motors. It's a wash between an ss and a gt. Anyone who says otherwise is most likely fanboying. Design is obviously different, but bashing one or the other is stupid. They're both well engineered.

Thank You for moving this thread.
Seeing this thread in the 5th gen Camaro discussion section was irritating. Thank You Moderator.
