Guys...theres no way in He11 that thing is the official final render ...forget it. I hope people are smart enough to realize that. Could it be sort of similar?? Of course.
Quote:
I agree that the render looks great, but it just doesn't look like a mustang, or really an American Muscle icon at all for that matter. I also agree that what makes the Camaro great is that it really is futuristic looking with some design cues that keep it looking "Camaro". I dont' care for it when people describe the Camaro as retro. Its not really full on retro...just a modern looking sports coupe with some design interpretations from the past. The 05 Mustang was a bit more Retro-like. The current Challenger is even more Retro. But in all honesty I don't think Ford needs to keep a similar, recognizable, design. They have every right to make a new generation look different. But (assuming the above rending was THE REAL car) I'd go as far to say they need to "muscle" it up a bit...make it a bit more American and not so European or "tuner"-ish. Between this new Mustang, and the renderings of the C7 corvette going more "Euro" inspired to become more globally accepted...I feel is just wrong. These are American companies. Build American designs for God's sake....dont Euro them up just because people these days hear "european" and automatically think it must be more sophisticated and better. I don't see the need to make your pony icon look like a 2-door tuner version of your family car. In fact it would completely turn me off. Brand recognition is important...but making some stand out vehicles is also important. The Mustang doesn't need to look like the rest of the pack.

I'd be tempted to buy. That car is sexy as hell. But it's still got a horse on it.

It looks good Belle, but I'm not fully onboard with it either as the next Gen Mustang. Needs a bit more muscle and American appeal in my my mind and a bit less Euro....but thats just my .02. The front isn't bad, but the renderings of the sides and rear I've seen need help (not that it matters because those aren't official either.)
Oh...and thats definitely not a real image. Its a computer rendering or some photoshop.

That is a cgi photo and looks like they transferred the front of a Taurus onto it. If the Mustang actually looks like that I say VW has to worry about 16 year old girl wanting this instead of a Jetta or Beetle.

looks pretty much like all the 2015 Mustang pictures I have seen:
Ford is setting all their cars to have that signature grille, just like BMW, Toyota, and Chevy (to a point) |

That's nice but I only plan to sell my Camaro in the future to buy a restored classic muscle car from the 60's.
