I have no problem with it.

Actually, I have the SS, but I like the LS/LT nose better, as I am not a fan of the mail slot.

If I found someone with an Victory Red LS/LT who wanted to swap his/her LS bumper for my SS bumper, I'd do it.

I would do it, however I would do the mail slot delete and have it molded in. That way I still have the same look but also have to better looking lower part of the bumper.

Heck, the cars already look identical, except for the front bumper...If the factory would have made them all "SS" bumpers on the LT's, nobody would mind...

Seems like a lot of work though for what you get, but it's all good. Do it if that's what you want...It's not gonna change the vin...It's just a "look"...

That's fine, but understand: If you put the SS badge on that LT nose, people are going to call you a poser... until you step on the GO pedal.

I think what you're referring to was already covered with the badges thing...

Otherwise you're saying everyone with a BMW that has a "M" package is posing to be the M car of their series. Not!

Not to mention some SS guys have put v6 front bumpers on their cars - I guess they are poseurs too...
Definition of POSEUR. : a person who pretends to be what he or she is not : an affected or insincere person. a person who attempts to impress others by assuming or affecting a manner, degree of elegance, sentiment, etc., other than his or her true one.

The same w/ cars. Trying to be something you aren't = poseur when the sole purpose is to impress other people. I'm unsure why that's hard to understand.... and yes, IMO (key word, opinion) putting a ZL1 front end on an SS also makes you a poseur.

Disguising ones car to look like less than it is, is a trick racers use to gain an advantage. There's a purpose involved, it's called a sleeper. Hardly the same thing.

By your own definition you disprove your last statement.
But anyway, WGAS?
I know he wants opinions and he obviously has them now, but he pays the bill.

I don't understand why that's so hard. 95% of the population won't know or notice the difference in his bumper. It's not "posing".

I don't like the mail slot in front.

My opinion is don't. If I had an SS, I'd put an LS/LT front bumper on it.

That's exactly why I swapped mine... plus, I think it looks better.

A car that is fast, but doesn't look fast. If someone ever came up to you and raced for pink slips, you could really pull one over them with a sleeper.

I'd go ahead and put the SS badges on too if you want. Screw what these guys might say.
